Zombie cocktail

 

Method 1


Ingredients

25ml dark rum (or a mixture of dark rum and golden rum)

25ml white rum (or a mixture of white rum and overproof rum)

50ml lime juice

150ml pineapple juice

ice

1tsp grenadine

For the garnish

orange

maraschino cherries

mint sprig

 

STEP 1

Pour the rums and fruit juices into a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake hard until the outside of the shaker feels really cold.


STEP 2

Strain the mixture into a tall glass or hurricane glass filled with ice, then slowly pour in the grenadine to colour the drink.


STEP 3

Skewer the orange wedge and cherries on a cocktail stick. Garnish the drink with mint sprigs and the skewered fruit.

Method 2

Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz light rum
- 1 1/2 oz dark rum
- 1 oz orange juice
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz grenadine
- 1/2 oz apricot brandy
- 1 oz pineapple juice
- Crushed ice
- 1 dash of Angostura bitters
- Mint sprig, for garnish
- Pineapple slice, for garnish
- Maraschino cherry, for garnish

Instructions:
1. Fill a shaker with ice and add light rum, dark rum, orange juice, lime juice, grenadine, apricot brandy, and pineapple juice.
2. Shake well until chilled.
3. Fill a glass with crushed ice.
4. Strain the cocktail mixture over the ice.
5. Add a dash of Angostura bitters on top.
6. Garnish with a mint sprig, pineapple slice, and maraschino cherry.
7. Enjoy your delicious Zombie cocktail!
