Rosé sangria
Method 1
Ingredients
3 nectarines or peaches, stoned and sliced
200g strawberries, sliced
750ml bottle Spanish rosé wine
orange
1tbsp golden caster sugar
50ml orange liqueur (we used Grand Marnier)
300ml sparkling water
mint sprigs
STEP 1
Put all the ingredients, except the sparkling water and mint, in a large jug and stir to combine. Leave in the fridge for about 1 hr or until chilled, then top up with sparkling water and garnish with mint leaves to serve.
Method 2
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle of Rosé wine
- 1/4 cup of brandy
- 1/4 cup of orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or Triple Sec)
- 1/4 cup of simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water, dissolved)
- 1/2 cup of fresh orange juice
- 1/2 cup of assorted fresh berries (such as strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries)
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
- 1 lime, thinly sliced
- Club soda or sparkling water (optional, for serving)
- Ice cubes
Instructions:
1. In a large pitcher, combine the Rosé wine, brandy, orange liqueur, simple syrup, and orange juice.
2. Add the assorted berries, orange slices, lemon slices, and lime slices to the pitcher.
3. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
4. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
5. To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the Rosé sangria mixture over the ice.
6. If desired, top each glass with a splash of club soda or sparkling water for a bit of fizz.
7. Garnish with additional berries and citrus slices, and enjoy your refreshing Rosé sangria!
