Festive rum & ginger punch

 

Method 1


Ingredients

ice

300ml mince pie rum (see below for the recipe, or use spiced rum)

150ml dark rum

3tbsp grenadine

4 limes, juiced

10 orange slices

1l ginger beer


STEP 1

Fill a large jug with ice, then tip in the mince pie or spiced rum, dark rum, grenadine, lime juice and orange slices, and mix well.


STEP 2

Top up with the ginger beer, stir gently, and serve in ice-filled tumblers (we used star-shaped ice-cube moulds for a festive touch).



Method 2


ingredients:


- 1 cup of dark rum

- 1/2 cup of ginger beer

- 1/4 cup of fresh lime juice

- 3 tablespoons of agave syrup

- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

- 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg

- Ice cubes

- Lime slices and cinnamon sticks for garnish


Instructions:

1. In a large pitcher, combine the dark rum, ginger beer, lime juice, agave syrup, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg. Stir well to combine.

2. Add ice cubes to the pitcher to chill the punch.

3. Stir the punch again before serving to mix all the ingredients.

4. Pour the rum & ginger punch into glasses filled with ice.

5. Garnish each glass with a slice of lime and a cinnamon stick.
