Ingredients
ice
100ml Aperol
150ml prosecco
soda, to top up
STEP 1
Put a couple of cubes of ice into 2 glasses and add a 50 ml measure of Aperol to each. Divide the prosecco between the glasses and then top up with soda, if you like.
What is an Aperol spritz?
Aperol spritz is a sparkling wine-based cocktail, normally consumed as an aperitif before dinner. Originally created in Padua, Italy in 1919, this refreshing alcoholic beverage only became popular around the world in the late 2010s. Aperol spritz typically consists of Aperol (bitters), prosecco and soda water.
What does Aperol spritz taste like?
This cocktail is light and refreshing, with a bittersweet, aromatic taste. Due to its low ABV of 11%, it makes for the perfect low-alcohol drink to serve before dinner or at a summer party.
Method 2
Ingredients:
- 3 parts Prosecco
- 2 parts Aperol
- 1 part soda water
- Ice
- Orange slice or twist for garnish
Instructions:
1. Fill a wine glass or a rocks glass with ice.
2. Pour the Prosecco over the ice.
3. Add the Aperol.
4. Top off with a splash of soda water.
5. Give it a gentle stir.
6. Garnish with an orange slice or twist.
7. Enjoy your refreshing Aperol Spritz!
